Larch flooring, 30×115×4000 mm, isn't just any board—it's a piece of warm, seasoned nature that has already weathered rain and sun before arriving in your home. Larch is impervious to moisture because it's naturally resinous, like memories of summer. So, while other woods crack from temperature fluctuations and moisture, this one stands firm, only slightly darkening, as if recalling early sunrises.
Each plank contains vibrant, light-colored knots, like drops of resin trapped between the grain. Small black knots give the board a harmonious, natural appearance. Kiln-dried wood extracted excess moisture evenly and slowly, leaving the wood with 10-12% moisture content. The geometry is precise, the ends are even, and the tongue and groove fit together seamlessly—no cracking or creaking, just a soft clicking sound under your heels.
Installation is easy: on joists, with screws at a 45° angle into the groove or hidden clips. Leave a finger-sized gap between the floor and the board—the wood needs to breathe.
Two coats of oil or varnish and the floor is ready to receive the first bare feet in the morning and evening.
